Will Seahawks Remain Interested in Dan Quinn After Wild Card Debacle? - Locked On Podcast
Viewed as the immediate favorite to replace Pete Carroll due to his previous ties as defensive coordinator for the Seattle Seahawks, Dan Quinn didn't help his candidacy pursuing a second head coaching job with the Dallas Cowboys allowing six defensive touchdowns in a 48-34 upset loss at home to the Green Bay Packers in the wild card round.
Playing at home in front of a sellout crowd, Quinn had an opportunity to bolster his candidacy for Seattle and other teams seeking a new head coach. However, his previously fifth-ranked scoring defense imploded on the biggest stage, allowing Green Bay quarterback Jordan Love to light up the skies throwing three touchdowns and completing 76 percent of his passes. In addition, the defensive front got pushed around all afternoon, allowing running back Aaron Jones to rush for 118 yards and three touchdowns.
Hosts Corbin Smith and Rob Rang discuss how much Dallas' struggles on defense on Sunday may negatively impact Quinn's chances of landing Seattle's vacant coaching job and how another candidate bolstered his odds on wild card weekend with Houston advancing to the next round.

The duo also tackles listener questions in a Monday Mailbag, including discussing what it would take for the Seahawks to trade up into the top three picks in April's NFL draft, and take a deep dive into potential coaching candidate Mike Macdonald, who has built a dominant defense in Baltimore and would present a different schematic style than Carroll or Quinn.
