WATCH: Seahawks' Bobby Wagner & Julian Love Get Defense Pumped with Play at OTAs
OTAs are well underway for the Seattle Seahawks, as they concluded another practice on Tuesday. Despite not having the session open to the media, the Seahawks' social media team made sure to post a highlight of the day made by the defense featuring two additions from this offseason.
Returning linebacker Bobby Wagner and newly-added safety Julian Love made their presence known over the middle of the field on Tuesday as they combined to break up a pass from Drew Lock.
A seemingly ill-advised throw from Lock ended up in the middle of both Wagner and Love. Luckily enough for Lock, it wasn't intercepted, as it seems Wagner's contact with the ball knocked it out of Love's hands. With that fact in mind, Wagner took to Twitter to apologize to Love.
"My bad [Julian Love] I didn't see you," Wagner said with a laughing emoji.
Love signed with the Seahawks this offseason after breaking out as a starter for the New York Giants last season, where he totaled a career-high 124 tackles, two interceptions, and six tackles for a loss. Love is part of a Seahawks secondary that includes safeties Quandre Diggs and Jamal Adams.
At the same time, Wagner returns to the franchise he called home for the first nine years of his career before signing with the Los Angeles Rams last offseason. Yet, after a dismal 5-12 season from the then-defending Super Bowl champions, Wagner "mutually" parted ways with the team before signing back with the Seahawks.
