If Seahawks Hire Defensive Coach, Who Should Be Offensive Coordinator? - Locked On Podcast

With second interviews underway for the Seattle Seahawks, defense looks to be a top priority. Which coordinator would be a good fit with each candidate?
In this story:

If reported second interviews serve as any indication, the Seattle Seahawks appear to be placing an emphasis on head coaching candidates with defensive backgrounds searching for a replacement for Pete Carroll.

According to multiple reports, Seattle has scheduled second interviews with five coaches thus far, including a quartet of current NFL defensive coordinators in Dan Quinn, Raheem Morris, Patrick Graham, and Ejiro Evero. Rounding out the list, Giants offensive coordinator Mike Kafka is the only slated interview with an offensive coach, though more names could be added to the mix in coming days.

Having served as Carroll's defensive coordinator in 2013 and 2014, Quinn's inclusion for a second meeting shouldn't come as a surprise, as he's been viewed as a front runner for the position since the team made a coaching change earlier this month. Like Quinn, Morris has previously been an NFL head coach, posting a 17-31 combined record with the Buccaneers and Falcons, who he had the interim coach tag with in 2020.

As for Graham and Evero, both coaches have been defensive coordinators for multiple NFL teams but don't have any prior head coaching experience on their respective resumes at any level.
