Report: Seahawks Hiring Jets Ex Mack Brown as Tight Ends Coach
Seattle Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald continues to add to his staff ahead of his first season in the Pacific Northwest
Per reports from ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Seahawks are hiring New York Jets offensive assistant Mack Brown to be their new tight ends coach.
"Seahawks are hiring Jets offensive assistant Mack Brown as their tight ends coach. Brown had spent the past five seasons in New York," Schefter tweeted.
Not to be confused with North Carolina Tar Heels head coach Mack Brown of college football, Seattle's newest hire has coaching versatility on both sides of the ball. A former Division I quarterback at Colorado, Brown coached receivers, quarterbacks, tight ends and was an offensive coordinator throughout his time at the high school, D-I and D-II ranks.
However, after finishing up time as an offensive coordinator for Missouri State in 2018, Brown was hired by the Jets as a defensive assistant in 2019 despite no prior official coaching experience on his resume for that side of the ball.

He transitioned to an offensive assistant for the Jets in 2021 and will now have his second NFL opportunity with Seattle.
