Seattle Seahawks Visit Free Agent OL Lucas Patrick
The Seattle Seahawks are busy this offseason searching for replacement bodies and starters along the offensive line.
Against that backdrop, the team hosted a visit with former Chicago Bears and current free-agent offensive lineman Lucas Patrick. Patrick also worked out with the team, indicating mutual interest.
The 30-year-old started 15 of 17 games for the Bears last year. His offensive line experience is at both center and guard, where he split time in five games in his first season in Chicago.
He was undrafted out of Duke in 2016 and spent 2016-2021 in Green Bay where he became a starting guard for the Packers in 2020. He started 13 games in Green Bay before leving the team in 2021 to join the division-rival Bears.
The Seahawks have also hosted visits with Greg Van Roten and Ike Boettger as they search for offensive line depth. General manager John Schneider called the position an "obvious need" for the team in the upcoming draft and free agency.
Seattle lost guard Damien Lewis - a four-year starter - in free agency to the Carolina Panthers as well as center Evan Brown who left for the Arizona Cardinals.
