The Seattle Seahawks are signing former All-Pro offensive tackle Jason Peters, per multiple reports on Tuesday. Seattle suffered multiple injuries to its offensive line in Sunday's 30-13 home loss to the Los Angeles Rams.

Per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, Peters could start out on Seattle's practice squad if he signs.

"The plan if all goes well is for Jason Peters to start on the practice squad, then move up. Similar to how it was with the Cowboys last year," Rapoport tweeted Monday.

The Seahawks lost second-year offensive lineman Charles Cross (toe) and Abraham Lucas (knee) to injury in the loss to L.A. Seattle coach Pete Carroll said they are both day-to-day head into Week 2.

Peters, 41, is a nine-time Pro Bowler, two-time All-Pro, one-time Super Bowl champ and a potential Hall of Famer. Originally an undrafted free agent that signed with the Buffalo Bills in 2004, he's carved out an incredible career. He played with the Dallas Cowboys last season but is best remembered for his 11 seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles.

Peters has played in 238 career games while making 219 starts. He's also started all six career postseason games.

The Seahawks had a Week 1 to forget. Entering the season as hopeful NFC contenders, they instead got stomped badly by the Rams at Lumen Field. Seattle only had one first down in the second half, which came as a result of pass interference in the secondary by L.A.

The Seahawks will visit the Detroit Lions at Ford Field on Sunday.
