Seahawks Close to 'Conclusion' on Dan Quinn Decision?

The Seattle Seahawks are still yet to announce their new head coach, but could all roads eventually lead to Dan Quinn being Pete Carroll's successor?
In this story:

The Seattle Seahawks' process of trying to find Pete Carroll's replacement is still ongoing. After 14 years in the job, a change was needed, but there hasn't been swift turnaround.

Amid all the speculation, one name that has been constantly linked with the Seahawks is Dallas Cowboys defensive coordinator Dan Quinn. While he feels like the surefire hire due to his previous experience with the franchise, nothing has materialized yet.

But ESPN analyst Field Yates still has a feeling that Quinn will eventually wind up in Seattle.

“It felt like just within hours of that announcement dropping, it was already ‘Dan Quinn to Seattle’ had generated a lot of steam,” Yates said via Seattle Sports’ Wyman and Bob. “And it’s logical in the sense that, of course, Dan knows pretty much everybody that’s been in the building for quite some time. He’s been a head coach himself so you kind of have an idea of what he can bring to the table, he’s a defensive-minded man, which of course is important for a team that I think right now is in really good shape offensively and just needs to really, really figure it out on defense. My general sense is that we’re still heading towards the Dan Quinn conclusion.”

General manager John Schneider certainly is taking his time with selecting the role of head coach, and in truth, it is a decision that can't be rushed.

Just because Quinn "feels" like the right person to lead the franchise after he already has spent time with the organization and is familiar with the setup doesn't means he's a fit. Perhaps Schneider and Co. are looking outside the box for candidates.

With each passing day, the head-coaching pool shrinks as job after job is being snapped up.

The Seahawks don't seem desperate to race through the interview process, as the decision is one they have to get right.

Do all roads still lead to Quinn? Time will tell.
