Keys to Victory For Seahawks vs. Steelers in Week 17 - Locked On Podcast

With both teams needing a win to improve their respective playoff standing, the Seattle Seahawks will need to play a clean game on offense and find a way to coax at least one turnover against a Pittsburgh Steelers offense that found life in Week 16.

On the cusp of a wild card berth, the Seattle Seahawks must keep stacking wins with two games left to play and will spar against an equally desperate Pittsburgh Steelers squad on New Years Eve in a Week 17 matchup offering major playoff ramifications.

Coming off a second straight comeback win over the Titans that improved their record to 8-7, the Seahawks currently hold the final wild card spot in the NFC behind the Cowboys and Rams. As for the Steelers, they kept their slim postseason hopes alive with an emphatic blowout victory over the Bengals last weekend, staying alive in the hunt for the AFC's last wild card spot.

In the grand scheme of things, Seattle has a bit more wiggle room going into this weekend by virtue of Minnesota's back-to-back losses the previous two weeks and even with a loss, the team won't be eliminated from contention no matter what else happens this weekend. But if Pittsburgh drops an eighth game on Sunday, there are several possible scenarios that could eliminate coach Mike Tomlin's team, leaving much at stake for both franchises.

What must the Seahawks accomplish to extend their winning streak to three games and further bolster their playoff odds? Hosts Corbin Smith and Nick Lee assemble a game plan for victory on offense and defense, including the necessity of applying pressure on quarterback Mason Rudolph, while also dishing out their weekly Picks to Click and game predictions on a jam-packed Blue Friday episode of Locked On Seahawks!
