“Dan Quinn, who helped build that culture in Seattle, which is so important with the Seahawks, is certainly someone to watch. One of the top candidates would potentially come back to Seattle, though they are going to have some competition there. And then Mike Macdonald, the young, impressive Ravens defensive coordinator, is getting a lot of looks around the league. He does not have a ton of experience, but really sharp, and someone offensive coordinators hate to go against.”

Finishing the year 13-4 and as the No. 1 seed in the AFC, Baltimore is enjoying a bye week during Super Wild Card Weekend as it anticipates its second-round opponent.

Macdonald is in his second season with the Ravens and has guided his unit to the No. 6 overall defense in the league in 2023, and that has drawn attention to him as a potential head coach.

There are several teams interested in speaking to Macdonald, and on Friday, the Falcons completed a virtual interview with Macdonald.

It was Atlanta's first interview in its effort to replace Arthur Smith, who was fired on Jan. 8. The Titans, Commanders, Panthers and Chargers have all requested permission to interview Macdonald for their head coaching vacancies.
