Seahawks Thriving Late in Two Wins; Second-Half Secret?

The Seattle Seahawks have looked like a completely different team in the second halves of their two victories, but that isn't something that is sustainable long-term.
In this story:

In just about every single sport and maybe even aspect of life, starting out strong and finishing strong is of equal importance.

However, when it comes to the Seattle Seahawks through the first three weeks, they have been slow to start and but ended things on a high in their two wins. We saw this again in their latest victory at Lumen Field on Sunday over the Carolina Panthers. who were without starting quarterback Bryce Young. Despite winning Sunday's game 37-27, Seattle's offense was held scoreless in the first half being subjected to just three field goals and trailing.

While oftentimes NFL teams may not be laying it on in the first halves of games, in their two wins, the Seahawks' offense has just two first-half touchdowns compared to six second-half/overtime scores.

There are a few possible reasons for this, but none of them are necessarily good or sustainable long-term. For starters, it could indicate that their game plan for their opponents is subpar and they are predicating themselves on in-game adjustments which is fine if the score is still close going into the second half.

Or, the team consistently struggles to execute until they feel the pressure of the game running out of time. This could be a positive, as it means they have clutch tendencies. But that may not be the case every game or in the playoffs when it matters most, and they won't be able to get back all of the points. It could also mean that they don't have a legitimate identity and are still trying to figure themselves out a month into the season. Again, not the worst thing but if not now then when?

If the Seahawks continues to come out flat in the first half, it will eventually be something that they'll be able to undo.
