Seahawks Offensive Coordinator Shane Waldron Set to Interview with Bears
The Seattle Seahawks are undergoing a major shakeup after the announcement Wednesday that Pete Carroll will no longer be the head coach after 14 t straighseasons at the helm.
As a result, Seattle's coaching staff could be in disarray with a new regime eventually heading to the Pacific Northwest this offseason, and the dominoes are already starting to fall.
Per NFL Network's Tom Pelissero, Seahawks offensive coordinator Shane Waldron has been requested for an interview by the Chicago Bears for the same position.
Though it's unclear if quarterback Justin Fields is Chicago's true franchise signal-caller, he's an electric player that showed some nice strides this season. In 13 games, he posted a career-high 2,562 passing yards to go along with 16 touchdowns. Fields tossed just nine picks, though that the touchdown-interception ratio still leaves a bit more to be desired.

Waldron would be able to take his shot at developing an offensive scheme that complements Fields' dynamic skillset while also taking into account some of his shortcomings as an elite passer.
Under Waldron this season, the Seahawks offense had its moments but ultimately didn't live up to the expectations considering the talent across the board. The Seahawks averaged the 12th-fewest offensive yards per game (322.9).
