The Seattle Seahawks saw their entire quarterback room take the field during Saturday night's preseason victory over the Dallas Cowboys.

During the Seattle Seahawks 22-14 victory over the Dallas Cowboys on Saturday night at Lumen Field, the team witnessed strong performances from their backup quarterbacks.

After Seahawks' starting quarterback Geno Smith left the field following two drives, during which he threw for 46 yards, Drew Lock stepped in to take his place.

The 26-year-old, who had thrown 20 interceptions in only 21 career starts, managed to overcome his turnover woes and play a clean football game on Saturday night. He went 5 of 6 passing for 119 yards with no interceptions. Lock's most notable play of the night was a perfectly-placed throw to receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba, resulting in a 48-yard gain that positioned the Seahawks at the one-yard line, setting up a one-yard touchdown run by running back DeeJay Dallas.

“I wanted to show that tonight, not only to the coaches but to the team — that I’m going to be ready at all times," Lock said. "Whenever that time comes.”

Lock was restricted to only two series, yet he made a significant impact by contributing to orchestrating touchdowns on both drives in which he participated. After two drives, the Seahawks replaced him with undrafted quarterback Holton Ahlers, who is looking to secure a spot on the team's roster.

Ahlers showcased a remarkable first impression last week during the Seahawks' 24-13 victory over the Minnesota Vikings. In that game, he exhibited his talents by rushing for 26 yards, completing all four pass attempts for 43 yards, and tossing a 30-yard touchdown to receiver Matt Landers that secured the win. Building upon his impressive performance from last week, Ahlers continued to deliver with another strong showing against the Cowboys. He threw for 61 yards and again displayed his mobility, rushing for 42 yards.

As the Seahawks prepare for their final preseason game against the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field on Aug 26. it provides an additional chance for Ahlers to showcase his talents for a spot on the 53-man roster. His performances in his first two NFL games have indicated his potential to successfully fulfill the role of a capable backup.. Now, he will have one last opportunity before the team needs to reduce the roster to 53 players.
