Seahawks Rookie WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba 'Perfect Fit' for Seattle?

Jaxon Smith-Njigba has the potential to do some damage for the Seattle Seahawks.
In this story:

The Seattle Seahawks may have found a gem in first-round pick Jaxon Smith-Njigba.

Despite being limited to just five catches in 2022 due to a hamstring injury, Smith-Njigba ignited the college football world in 2021, breaking an Ohio State record for receiving yards in a season with 1,606.

Even though wide receiver wasn't the Seahawks' biggest need, Smith-Njigba has the potential to be a "perfect fit" for Seattle's offense.

"Smith-Njigba has the versatility to play as a boundary or field receiver on the outside, but the fit here mainly points to slot alignments in the Seahawks' 11 personnel (1 RB, 1 TE) sets," ESPN writes. "Smith-Njigba can use his lateral quicks and route-running traits to uncover for quarterback Geno Smith, with DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett playing outside. He can make an immediate impact on schemed concepts, isolation routes and catch-and-run targets."

Not only does Smith-Njigba fit well by himself with Smith, but he also can play off of Metcalf and Lockett to form a dynamic passing attack.

"Smith-Njigba has the skill set to complement the Seahawks' veteran wideouts, and his arrival in Seattle boosts the pass game for Pete Carroll's team from a matchup perspective," ESPN writes.

Smith-Njigba will get his first chance to showcase his talents during Seahawks' rookie minicamp, which runs from May 12-14.
