The Seattle Seahawks let one slip away from them in Week 6's 17-13 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals, but came out stronger in the first half of Sunday's meeting against a pesky Arizona Cardinals team at Lumen Field.

Behind a pair of touchdowns from rookie receivers Jaxon Smith-Njigba and Jake Bobo, the Seahawks headed into the locker room with a 14-10 lead at halftime.

Seahawks quarterback Geno Smith finished the first half 12 of 15 passing for 149 yards and two touchdowns. With DK Metcalf inactive, Smith's favorite first-half target was Smith-Njigba, who had four catches (on six targets) for 63 yards and the touchdown.

Despite a slow start, Cardinals quarterback Joshua Dobbs made one of the plays of the first half that helped keep Arizona in it. Faced with a 1st and goal from the 25-yard line after a series of penalties, he broke free untouched for a 25-yard rushing touchdown to give the Cardinals a 10-7 lead in the second quarter.

This helped make up for his lackluster stat line of 8 of 18 passing for 64 yards.

However, the Cardinals have proven they're better than the 1-5 record shows. Arizona's special teams came up with a big turnover on special teams after Seattle running back DeeJay Dallas fumbled on a punt return. The ensuing recovery from the Cardinals resulted in a field goal for Arizona to make it a 7-3 game.

Arizona looked like it'd be adding another field goal in the final seconds of the half, but a sack of Dobbs and more penalties halted the drive.

The Seahawks will receive the second-half kickoff.
