Seattle Seahawks Make Two Roster Moves, Sign Los Angeles Rams Ex
The Seattle Seahawks announced two roster moves on Tuesday to address the offensive side of the ball.
The team announced the signing of former Detroit Lions and Los Angeles Rams offensive tackle Max Pircher while placing running back Bryant Koback on the reserve/retired list.
Pircher, 24, was born in Italy but got on the map by spending time in the NFL's International Player Pathway Program after playing in Germany and Austria, per the Seahawks.
Seattle had signed Koback to a futures contract after the conclusion of this past season, but he now appears to be done with football, as the NFL's official team transaction log lists him under "retirements."
Koback posted 52 total touchdowns in his collegiate career at Toledo, which earned him a shot as a undrafted free agent with the Vikings last season. He was signed to the practice squad before the season but never appeared in a game before being released in January after Minnesota's
season ended in the NFC Wild Card.
However, he got some much-needed action in all three of the Vikings' preseason games. Combined, he posted 21 carries for 67 yards and one touchdown along with four catches for 21 yards. Most of this production came in Minnesota's final game of the preseason, as Koback had a game-high 14 carries along with 41 yards and a touchdown in a 23-13 loss to the Denver Broncos.
