After a smooth start, the Seattle Seahawks found themselves in a tight game headed into halftime with a 17-14 lead in Sunday's meeting with the Cleveland Browns at Lumen Field.

Seattle jumped out to a 14-0 lead, but its defense allowed the Browns to get back into the game despite getting two big takeaways off of miscues from Cleveland quarterback P.J. Walker.

Seahawks quarterback Geno Smith went 13 of 21 passing in the first half for 175 yards, a touchdown and an interception. His first touchdown came on a 12-yard touchdown pass to Tyler Lockett, which helped build the 14-0 lead.

The Seahawks got the scoring started with a three-yard rushing touchdown from rookie receiver Jake Bobo, who now has a touchdown in back-to-back games.

Lockett's touchdown came on the next possession, giving the Seahawks a 14-0 lead by the 5:30 mark of the first quarter. It seemed like an inconsistent Browns would struggle to get back in the game, but Cleveland used a 41-yard screen pass to Pierre Strong and an ensuing 18-yard touchdown from tight end David Njoku to cap a four-play, 75-yard drive to make it 14-7.

After Seattle got a field goal, the Browns handed momentum right back with an interception to Riq Woolen. However, the Seahawks failed to capitalize and quickly went three-and-out.

This gave the Browns another chance and they took advantage. An 11-play, 67-yard drive ended with a one-yard score from Kareem Hunt. Suddenly, the Browns had made it a game after it seemed like the game could be heading toward blowout territory.

The Seahawks had a chance to take momentum back at the end of the half, but Smith tossed another red zone interception, which has become a trend as of late.

Seattle will receive the second-half kickoff.
