The Seattle Seahawks have made headlines early this offseason thanks to some big moves in their quarterback room, but that hardly rules them out from adding more depth through next month's 2024 NFL Draft.

Per 247Sports, the Seahawks are hosting former UCF Knights quarterback John Rhys Plumlee for a top-30 draft visit. Seattle made a trade for Washington Commanders quarterback Sam Howell, but could potentially be looking at Rhys Plumlee as a practice squad piece with the ceiling of third-stringer.

Rhys Plumlee, 23, played his first three collegiate seasons at Ole Miss before spending two years at UCF. A starting outfielder during his times at both schools, he famously went viral in 2023 with the Knights after playing in a baseball game before leaving to suit up for UCF football's spring game that same day.

He got tons of action as a backup during his freshman year at Ole Miss in 2019, and showed off his impressive versatility, rushing 154 times for 1,023 yards and 12 touchdowns.

Already proving himself as a passer and rusher, Rhys Plumlee entered the 2021 season as a receiver, catching 19 passes for 201 yards while still completing one pass and getting nine rush attempts.

But once he got UCF, Rhys Davis went back to being a full-time QB and put up more big numbers. In two years with the Knights, he passed for a combined 4,857 yards, 29 touchdowns and 16 interceptions. He continued to gash defenses with his legs, rushing for 1,367 yards and 16 touchdowns during his final two seasons.

If the Seahawks want to pull the trigger on Rhys Davis with a Day 3 pick or undrafted deal, it could pay off due to the athletic versatility he's shown over the past few seasons.
