Seahawks Trade For Justin Fields? 'Odds' Say Yes

One betting site is laying odds that Bears quarterback Justin Fields will end up in Seattle.
In this story:

The Bears gave up a lot to get Justin Fields, trading up with the Giants in the 2021 NFL Draft, and after three seasons in the league, Chicago seemingly is still not sold on Fields being their long-term answer under center.

While the Seahawks are in the middle of rolling changes after the hiring of new head coach Mike Macdonald, the Seahawks could be in for a change at quarterback too.

Geno Smith has one year left on his three-year, $75 million deal, and the team could want to move on earlier if a better, more attractive option comes along. Macdonald and the team could decide Fields is that guy.

DraftKings has put odds on the Bears trading Fields this offseason, and the Seahawks have the sixth-best odds of being the Fields recipient. The Bears again have the No. 1 pick in April's NFL Draft and have been linked to USC's Caleb Williams who could be Fields' replacement in Chicago.

NFL RB Rankings: Seahawks' Walker Overlooked?

The reasons the Bears might move on from Fields could be why the Seahawks would be hesitant to make the move, though. A career 82.3 quarterback rating and 40 career touchdowns to 30 career interceptions isn't the best look. And the fact the former Ohio State Buckeye hasn't completed a full season since arriving in the NFL doesn't help either.

It could be that Smith stays in Seattle as the starter through 2024 and maybe beyond, but DraftKings says the odds say otherwise.
