WATCH: Seattle Seahawks DK Metcalf Beats Dallas Cowboys DaRon Bland for 73-Yard TD

Seattle Seahawks receiver DK Metcalf got a much-needed highlight score Thursday against the Dallas Cowboys.
In this story:

Seattle Seahawks receiver DK Metcalf playfully said coming into Thursday night's meeting with the Dallas Cowboys at AT&T Stadium that Dallas' second-year cornerback DaRon Bland has more touchdowns than he does.

Metcalf was right, as his inability to find the end zone this season has been noticeable while Bland just broke the all-time single-season pick-six record.

But on Seattle's opening drive Thursday, it was Metcalf who got the best of Bland on a 3rd and 8, as he blew past him in the secondary before sprinting 73 yards for a no-doubt touchdown, his fourth of the year. The score put Seattle up 7-3 early.

Take a look:

"I was thinking like 'he's got more touchdowns than me,'" Metcalf told reporters Sunday. "He does what the receivers should do and that’s shave angles and meet the ball, he does an exceptional job at that and it’s rare that you see a cornerback be able to track the ball and catch the ball like he does, he does it effortlessly.

"Him and (Stephon) Gilmore are a tandem and hate to see Trevon Diggs go down, my prayers go out to him on his road to recovery. But it seems like the next one up is duplicate of him so, got to shave angles."

The Seahawks defense got carved up quickly on the next drive, as the Cowboys took the lead back at 10-7. But with an early confidence boost, Metcalf and the Seahawks will look to swing momentum back in their favor.
