Seattle Seahawks Sign Former San Francisco 49ers Pro Bowler
The Seattle Seahawks have added some much-needed talent to their offensive line ahead of the first draft under coach Mike Macdonald.
Per NFL Network's Tom Pelissero, the Seahawks are signing former San Francisco 49ers Pro Bowler and New York Jets offensive guard Laken Tomlinson to a one-year deal. He's played in 146 games while making 138 starts, so it's safe to say the Seahawks are giving Geno Smith a wealth of experience on the o-line for the 2024 season.
Tomlinson was the No. 27 overall pick out of Duke in 2015 by the Detroit Lions. He only played two seasons in Detroit before being traded to the Niners ahead of the 2017 campaign. His career took off in The Bay, making 80 starts in 80 games for San Francisco. Tomlinson's final season with the 49ers in 2021 ended up being a career year, as he made his first-career Pro Bowl.
