PITTSBURGH -- The Pittsburgh Steelers are looking for wide receiver help, and could have an option in the form of a former player. JuJu Smith-Schuster remains on the New England Patriots roster, but if he is on the move, why not make a return to the place his NFL career started?

Former Steelers linebacker Arthur Moats was pitched the idea by his co-host during a recent episode of the Arthur Moats Experience. When the idea was brought up, he was intriuged, with both hosts agreeing it would work.

"I’m definitely on that train," Moats said. "He’s still under contract in New England, [though]."

Smith-Schuster was a second-round pick for the Steelers in 2017 and went on to start 51 games, catching 323 passes for 3,855 yards and 26 touchdowns. He earned his only Pro Bowl during his time in Pittsburgh, establishing himself as the team's top wideout by the time he left.

He eventually went on to sign a one-year deal with the Kansas City Chiefs, winning a Super Bowl. He then signed a three-year deal with the Patriots, which started in 2023. This will be his second year of the contract.

Steelers report Gerry Dulac said the team could still be in the running for a "significant" trade. If they're looking for a wide receiver, maybe the return of Smith-Schuster is on their list.
