Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker Anthony Chickillo was in court this morning for a domestic dispute that occurred on October 20 at the Nemacolin Woodlands Resort in Wharton Township. According to the incident report, Chickillo and his girlfriend, Alysha Newman, were fighting within their hotel room before he slammed her against a wall and door.

Those chargers were dropped today at the Fayette County court room, according to a number of sources. Chickillo returned to the Steelers facility following the court appearance.

The linebacker isn't able to practice with the team until he's removed from the Commissioner's Exempt List. The NFL has the right to conduct their own investigation into the matter, leaving Chickillo open for more disciplinary action after the charges were withdrawn.
