Bengals Pick Up Joe Burrow's Fifth-Year Option
PITTSBURGH -- The Cincinnati Bengals are keeping Joe Burrow in the AFC North for at least another two years as they pick up their quarterback's fifth-year option, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
Burrow enters his fourth NFL season with a Super Bowl appearance, two AFC North championships, a Pro Bowl and a Comeback Player of the Year Award under his belt. He also has a 24-17-1 record with 11,774 yards and 82 touchdowns to 32 interceptions.
Keeping Burrow around long-term seems like a guarantee for the Bengals, but with questions to Lamar Jackson's future in Baltimore, it appears anything can happen within the division.
Burrow will enter the year with a 3-2 record against the Pittsburgh Steelers. He's also 1-0 against Kenny Pickett, but lost to Mitch Trubisky in Week 1 of the 2022 season.
It appears the Steelers' biggest obstacle is staying in the AFC North for awhile, and at the minimum, for two more years.
