Chargers Sign WR Off Steelers Practice Squad

The Los Angeles Chargers claim a wideout from the Pittsburgh Steelers.

PITTSBURGH -- The Los Angeles Chargers are adding Pittsburgh Steelers practice squad member Simi Fehoko to their active roster, signing the wide receiver as they head into Week 4.

Fehoko announced the news on his TikTok page in a video of him sitting in a Detroit airport. He explained that his day went pretty normal until his agent called him and gave him the news that the Chargers were signing him to their 53-man roster.

Los Angeles lost their start wideout in Mike Williams over the weekend and needed added depth. Fehoko, 25, has 10 games of NFL experience, all with the Dallas Cowboys.

Because the Chargers are signing Fehoko off of the Steelers practice squad, he must be on the active roster for a minimum of four weeks. Afterward, they can waive him if they decide to.

With the move, the Steelers now have an open practice squad spot they will likely fill this week.
