Multiple Teams Interested in Former Steelers WR
PITTSBURGH -- If the Pittsburgh Steelers are considering a reunion with Martavis Bryant, they may need to jump on a workout now. So far, the former fourth-round pick has landed two tryouts only days after being reinstated by the NFL.
The league welcomes Bryant back after a four-year suspension for violating the substance abuse policy. Following multiple failed drug tests, the former Steelers wideout found himself waiting for another opportunity while bouncing around the CFL and XFL.
Now, he's back, and at 31 years old, he's quickly earning workouts from teams around the league. So far, he's set to meet with the Dallas Cowboys and Tennessee Titans.
Bryant spent four seasons with the Steelers before being traded to the Oakland Raiders for a third-round pick. During his time in Pittsburgh, he emerged as a starting alongside Antonio Brown, catching 126 passes for 1,917 yards and 17 touchdowns.
Bryant was expected to have interest from multiple teams, and if he does not strike a deal with these two workouts, he should draw tryouts with other teams in the near future.
