PITTSBURGH -- The NFL has hit Pittsburgh Steelers running back Jaylen Warren with a $48,333 fine for a play in Week 2 that league claims he should have been flagged for illegal use of the helmet.

NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reports that Warren was fined just ahead of Week 3. And as for the play, the league decided on the penalty after the game, but Warren was not flagged during it.

The Steelers have been hit multiple times for fines this season, with long snapper Christian Kuntz and safety Keanu Neal being hit in Week 1. The NFL recently retracted a $43,709 fine to inside linebacker Kwon Alexander for a play during the preseason opener.

Being an undrafted free agent, Warren is set to make $874,000 this season. His agent, David Canter, announced on Twitter they will be appealing the fine.

Warren finished Week 2 with 20 rushing yards and 66 receiving yards.
