Steelers WR Allen Robinson Passes Physical
PITTSBURGH -- The trade that would make Allen Robinson a Pittsburgh Steeler had one more obstacle to overcome before it was made official. General manager Omar Khan convinced the Los Angeles Rams to take on two-thirds of his salary and part with the former Pro Bowl wideout for a seventh round pick swap.
All the deal needed to become official was for Robinson to pass a physical examination with the Steelers and he did that upon arriving in Pittsburgh this week, according to a report from Diana Russini of ESPN.
The deal is now official and the Steelers have added a low-risk, high-upside veteran player to their very young wide receivers' room. Robinson, who caught 118 passes for 740 yards and four touchdowns over the past two seasons combined, likely had his foot examined after he suffered a stress fracture which kept him out of the final six games of the 2022 season. He's suffered a major lower body injury in each of the past three seasons.
