PITTSBURGH -- The Pittsburgh Steelers have added another defensive end to their 90-man roster, claiming Manny Jones off waivers, according to ESPN's Field Yates.

Jones, 23, went undrafted last year before signing with the Arizona Cardinals. As a rookie out of Colorado State, he played four games, recording six tackles as a defensive tackle, and spending the rest of the year on their practice squad.

In five years at Colorado State, Jones recorded 181 tackles, 33 tackles for loss and 13.5 sacks while lining up at defensive tackle, defensive end and linebacker.

Jones will join a somewhat new mix of defensive linemen in Pittsburgh, and compete for a roster spot with Breiden Fehoko, Armon Watts, Montravius Adams, Isaiahh Loudermilk, James Nyamwaya and Jonothan Marshall.

The team also placed defensive tackle Renell Wren on Injured Reserve, announcing he will miss the entire 2023 season due to injury.
