Steelers LB Elandon Roberts Suffers Pec Injury
PITTSBURGH -- The Pittsburgh Steelers defense took another blow at inside linebacker after Elandon Roberts left in the second quarter with a pectoral injury.
Roberts left after a first down pass by the Cincinnati Bengals. After slowly getting up, he was met by trainers on the field before slowly walking to the sideline. He was then taken to the medical tent for further evaluation.
He then went into the tunnel, heading to the locker room. He was then ruled doubtful to return.
The Steelers are down a number of inside linebackers already, with Cole Holcomb (knee) and Kwon Alexander (achilles) on Injured Reserve. Roberts and Mark Robinson were the starters in Week 16.
Without Roberts, the Steelers will turn to Robinson, Mykal Walker and Myles Jack at inside linebacker. Jack is making his season debut against Cincinnati, being elevated from the practice squad before the game.
All Steelers will continue to provide updates to Roberts' injury after more information becomes available.
