PITTSBURGH -- The Pittsburgh Steelers have two star edge rushers in T.J. Watt and Alex Highsmith and a starting defensive end in Larry Ogunjobi. But their big names on defense haven't ruled them out of possibly landing Washington Commanders' former second-overall pick.

BetOnline.ag has the current odds for Chase Young's next team, if he doesn't stay in Washington, and the Steelers have popped up on the list. Sitting with the fifth-best odds, Pittsburgh currently has an 8/1 shot at the defensive lineman, tying the Arizona Cardinals and San Francisco 49ers.

The leading candidate to land Young are the Detroit Lions (4/1), followed by the Seattle Seahawks (5/1) and the Chicago Bears (6/1) and New York Giants (6/1).

The price tag to acquire Young isn't known but it's believed to be high. Despite the team not picking up his fifth-year option, there's a sense they'd like to keep him long-term and get a deal done before his contract expires.

The Steelers have been aggressive in the last year, with Omar Khan making moves at the deadline and during the NFL Draft to secure what appears to be a pretty solid roster.

Pittsburgh might not need another star on the defensive line, but it's never a bad problem to have too much talent. And right now, the oddsmakers believe they'll be in the running.
