Former Steelers DT Javon Hargrave Signs Massive Deal With 49ers
PITTSBURGH -- Former Pittsburgh Steelers defensive tackle Javon Hargrave is staying in the NFC, leaving the Philadelphia Eagles in free agency to sign a massive four-year deal with the San Francisco 49ers, according to multiple reports.
Hargrave and the 49ers have agreed to a four-year deal worth $84 million that includes $40 million guaranteed.
Hargrave was expected to have a big market heading into free agency after recording 11 sacks and 10 tackles for loss last season. He now joins a 49ers defense that already has star names like Fred Wagner and Defensive Player of the Year Nick Bosa.
Since leaving the Steelers in 2020, Hargrav has earned $39 million in the NFL. He'll now add another $84 million to that in the next four years and be 34 when his deal is up.
