Steelers CB Joey Porter Jr. Sends Heartfelt Goodbye to Clark Haggans

The Pittsburgh Steelers rookie sends his love after the passing of his uncle.
In this story:

PITTSBURGH -- Rookie cornerback Joey Porter Jr. was the closest current member of the Pittsburgh Steelers to former linebacker Clark Haggans. And following his sudden death at the age of 46, Porter Jr. sent his love in a heartfelt goodbye to his "uncle."

Porter Jr. had a connection with Haggans through his father, Joey Porter, who played alongside Haggans in Pittsburgh. The two Colorado State outside linebackers were both eventually drafted by the Steelers and started on the edge as they went on to win a Super Bowl.

Haggans and Porter were close, and that relationship made Haggans as close as family to Porter Jr. After the news of Haggans' death, the rookie cornerback sent out his love on Instagram.

"Love you uncle, you will be missed," Porter Jr. wrote. "Rest in Paradise. Never a dull moment with you. You could light up any room you stepped in!"

The cause of Haggans' passing is still unknown. The Super Bowl champion played in Pittsburgh from 2000-2007, starting 57 games, including Super Bowl XL.
