Steelers Lose Two Starters Against Packers
PITTSBURGH -- The Pittsburgh Steelers defense will be down two starters as they take on the Green Bay Packers in Week 10. The team has announced both Minkah Fitzpatrick and Monatravius Adams will miss the game due to injuries.
Fitzpatrick will miss his second game in a row due to a hamstring injury he suffered in Week 8. He did not return to practice this week, marking the second week in a row he was unavailable. The Steelers will hope he takes a step forward next week.
Adams suffered an ankle injury early in Week 9 and was quickly ruled out for the game. Despite head coach Mike Tomlin leaving the door open for him to play this week, Adams was unable to practice and is a no-go for Week 10 against the Packers.
The Steelers will turn to rookie Keeanu Benton at nose tackle in Adams's absence. This will mark Benton's first start in the NFL.
Defensive tackle Cam Heyward's availability was in question but he'll also play after recovering from last week. Heyward returned from Injured Reserve last week after undergoing groin surgery. He missed one day of practice this week and was limited the other two days, but is set to play.
