Mike Hilton, Long List of Steelers Miss Practice Wednesday

The Pittsburgh Steelers opened up 'Ravens Week' without a number of players.

PITTSBURGH -- The Pittsburgh Steelers opened their Week 8 preparation for the Baltimore Ravens without a long list of players.

On Tuesday, head coach Mike Tomlin announced that defensive lineman Chris Wormley (knee) and Jordan Dangerfield (quad) were dealing with injuries following Week 7. Wormley was scheduled for an MRI on Tuesday, of which the results have yet to be released. He and Dangerfield both missed practice on Wednesday.

Tomlin also said fullback Derek Watt (hamstring) and cornerback Mike Hilton (shoulder) would have the opportunity to return to practice for Week 8. Both missed last Sunday.

Watt returned as a full participant on Wednesday. He missed Week 7 against the Tennessee Titans after re-aggravating an injury he suffered in Week 3.

Hilton did not return to practice on Wednesday.

Wide receivers Diontae Johnson (toe) and JuJu Smith-Schuster (knee) also missed practice on Wednesday. Since Week 1, neither have practiced on Wednesdays this season.

Center Maurkice Pouncey, tackle Al Villanueva and tight end Eric Ebron all did not participate with elbow injuries. Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, guard David DeCastro and defensive end Stephon Tuitt had scheduled days off.
