Steelers' Mike Tomlin Still NFL Players' Favorite Coach

The Pittsburgh Steelers head coach continues to be the most beloved leader in the NFL.

PITTSBURGH -- The Pittsburgh Steelers have the head coach most players in the NFL would like to play for. With little surprise, Mike Tomlin was voted on by anonymous players across the league as the coach they'd want to play for the most in a poll collected by The Athletic

Tomlin received 26.4% of the votes received in the poll, followed by Miami Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniels, who received 14.6% of the vote. The Athletic spoke with 72 players across the league for the tally.

"His messaging, leadership and attitude seem consistent with a winning formula," one player said as their reason for picking Tomlin.

"He’s tough and accountable, and he demands that out of his players," another said.

Tomlin has had a winning season in all 17 years as a head coach, and appears to be on his way to his 18th. The Steelers sit at 6-4 with a chance to make the postseason and are still alive in the AFC North race.

The love for Tomlin has always been strong, with most players who come to Pittsburgh naming him as the reason they choose to sign with the Steelers.

Those players would also be playing for the Steelers fanbase, which received 4.8% of the votes for the most annoying fans in the league. Acrisure Stadium was voted on as the sixth-best stadium to play in.
