Steelers' Mike Tomlin Named Third Best Coach in NFL
PITTSBURGH -- Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin has been known as one of the best coaches around the league for years now, but how high up is he?
The 33rd Team recently ranked all 32 head coaches across the league, with the Steelers leader making the list rather high. Behind only Kansas City Chiefs' Andy Reid and New England Patriots' Bill Belichick, Tomlin ranks as the third-best head coach in the NFL.
"Yes, Pittsburgh Steelers fans want more recent postseason success but 16 seasons without a losing record is crazy impressive, especially when you consider the manner in which they’ve done it the last few years," the 33rd Team writes.
Steelers fans are getting impatient about the lack of success in the postseason, but Tomlin has continued to pull off unbelievable things from a coaching aspect. And even if leading a team to 9-8 isn't a super impressive feat by a head coach, it should give fans some hope that this season will be one with potential.
Pittsburgh has a second-year quarterback, the first new QB of Tomlin's head coaching career. What he's capable of doing with Kenny Pickett behind center could bump him up or move him down from a pristine spot amongst NFL head coaches.
