Steelers DB Minkah Fitzpatrick Suffers Knee Injury Against Colts
PITTSBURGH -- The Pittsburgh Steelers suffered a massive blow to their defense after safety Minkah Fitzpatrick left the game with an injury, which occurred just moments after Damontae Kazee was ejected from the game.
Fitzpatrick tried to make a play on the football in the air and remained on the ground after the play. He appeared to be in pain before being evaluated by trainers and taken to the blue medical tent for further testing.
The team then announced Fitzpatrick sustained a knee injury and is questionable to return to the game. This is his third injury this season after dealing with a hamstring injury and a broken hand.
The Steelers lost Kazee in the play beforehand, which leaves them with just Trenton Thompson and Miles Killebrew as their options at safety. Cornerback Patrick Peterson could also be utilized at the position if needed.
All Steelers will continue to update this story as more information about Fitzpatrick's injury becomes available.
