Steelers Out On Odell Beckham Jr.

The Pittsburgh Steelers aren't doing their homework on OBJ.
In this story:

PITTSBURGH -- The Pittsburgh Steelers are seemingly not interested in free agent wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr., who's looking to get back into the league after a year off while recovering from ACL surgery.

Beckham hosted a workout in Arizona over the weekend and invited all 32 NFL teams. Those who came and watched were the Carolina Panthers, New York Giants, New York Jets, New England Patriots, Los Angles Rams, Arizona Cardinals, San Francisco 49ers, Buffalo Bills, Kansas City Chiefs, Minnesota Vikings, Cleveland Browns and Baltimore Ravens.

All reports claim the workout was a success and OBJ looked liked the star he was before his injury. According to Pro Football Talk, he's still looking for $20 million per season, which would make him the highest-paid wideout in Pittsburgh - and the Steelers didn't seem to want to entertain that thought.

Not showing up for the workout was pretty expected, and being out on Beckham isn't a big shock to anyone around the team.

General manager Omar Khan said a number of times during the NFL Combine that he's excited about what Calvin Austin will bring after he returns from injury this season, and the roster currently has five wideouts under contract for 2023.
