Steelers Could Play Tom Brady One More Time

The Pittsburgh Steelers could get one final matchup against Tom Brady.

PITTSBURGH -- The Pittsburgh Steelers could end up playing future Hall of Famer Tom Brady one final time as they set off for the 2023 season.

With questions around Jimmy Garoppolo's health heading into the summer, it's unknown whether or not he'll play for the Las Vegas Raiders at all this season. After failing his physical because of a foot injury, the quarterback is going to wait before returning to the field, and even if he does play, might not return before Week 3 when the Raiders take on the Steelers.

If he doesn't play, guess who's the betting favorite to replace him in Vegas? Tom Brady.

BetOnline.ag currently lists Brady as a 2/1 favorite to start for the Raiders if Garoppolo is not on the field by Week 1.

Brady became a minority owner of the Raiders this offseason, and if anything, that seemingly boosted the odds he returns to the field for the black and silver in a worst-case-scenario situation. If their new quarterback isn't healthy, that situation has presented itself.

Brady is 9-4 against the Steelers during his career but has only played half a game against Kenny Pickett, losing this past season at Acrisure Stadium with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Pittsburgh travels to Vegas on Week 3 for a Sunday Night Football matchup at Allegiant Stadium. Garoppolo's health will be worth monitoring for Steelers fans as the season approaches.
