Steelers Release WR After Injury Settlement
PITTSBURGH -- The Pittsburgh Steelers have removed wide receiver Ja'Marcus Bradley from their Injured Reserve list after a settlement, according to KPRC2's Aaron Wilson.
Bradley was waived/injured by the Steelers during the second week of training camp and cleared waivers, placing him on IR. Pittsburgh's decision to release him through a settlement allows them to avoid a cap hit once the season starts, but does mean he'll be off the team moving forward.
The Steelers are heading into their second preseason game with several receivers fighting for the bottom of the depth chart. Gunner Olszewski, Myles Boykin, Dez Fitzpatrick, Hakeem Butler and Dan Chisnea all remain in the hunt for the fifth and sixth spots on the 53-man roster, if the Steelers decide to keep that many wideouts.
Pittsburgh still has running back Alfonzo Graham on their IR list with a shoulder injury. If he isn't released on a settlement, he'll remain with the team throughout the season.
