Steelers Draft Purdue CB Cory Trice Jr.

The Pittsburgh Steelers add a second cornerback in the NFL Draft.

PITTSBURGH -- The Pittsburgh Steelers double-dip at cornerback in the NFL Draft, selecting Purdue's Cory Trice Jr. at pick 241, the first of their seventh-round selections. 

The Steelers NFL Draft has hit a number of needs through seven rounds. They started with Georgia left tackle Broderick Jones, went to Penn State for cornerback Joey Porter Jr., then double-dipped at Wisconsin for Keeanu Benton and Nick Herbig and grabbed Georgia tight end Darnell Washington. Now, they add Trice. 

Trice comes to Pittsburgh after five years at Purdue where he recorded 106 tackles, five interceptions, 15 pass deflections and five tackles for loss. 

Trice joins a lengthy ground of cornerbacks in Pittsburgh, including newly-added Porter. Pittsburgh also signed former Minnesota Vikings cornerback Chandon Sullivan during the NFL Draft. 

Trice stands 6'3 and as Steelers' defensive backs coach Grady Brown said after the picks, "We'll look good getting off the bus."
