Steelers Sign Minnesota QB Tanner Morgan

The Pittsburgh Steelers have added an UDFA to their quarterback room.
In this story:

PITTSBURGH -- The Pittsburgh Steelers have finished drafting rookies but are not done adding new college prospects to their roster. Their first move was to add undrafted quarterback Tanner Morgan, a four-year starter from Minnesota.

Morgan helped lead the Golden Gophers to one of their best seasons in program history in 2019. He completed 66% of his passes for 3,253 yards and 30 touchdowns to just seven interceptions as his team won 11 games and finished 10th in the final AP poll in his first full year as a starter. He is the winningest quarterback in school history and owns the second-most passing yards and touchdowns for his career in program history.

Morgan set school records for single-season passing yards, passing touchdowns, completion percentage, touchdown to interception ratio and efficiency rating during that magical 2019 campaign. He missed three games during the regular season with an injury.
