Steelers LB T.J. Watt Believes NFL Out to Get Him

Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker T.J. Watt called out what he thinks has been uneven officiating against him.

PITTSBURGH -- In the wake of an embarrassing loss to the Arizona Cardinals, Pittsburgh Steelers star outside linebacker T.J. Watt expressed frustration with what he believes has been some targetted non-calls against him throughout this season.

Watt appeared to have been held on a play early in the fourth quarter when the Cardinals were punting the ball back to the Steelers and appeared to have been hurt momentarily. He stayed down on the field for an extended period of time and, while walking back to the sideline, shared a few choice words for an official standing near the Steelers bench.

"I don't know," Watt said following the 24-10 loss to the Cardinal. "The NFL has something going against me so I don't want to talk any more negativity towards that. I don't know what I did so I'll leave it at that."

Watt was able to return to the game and ended the day with a stuffed box score - six total tackles, half a sack, a tackle for loss, two quarterback hits and a pass defended.

He's still on a torrid statistical pace despite what he believes to be uneven officiating throughout the year. He entered the Cardinals game with the NFL lead in sacks at 13.5 and has racked up three fumble recoveries, an interception and 25 hits on quarterbacks.
