Pregame thoughts

Donnie- What's up guys! Just finishing the Vikings/49ers game right now. Hoping tonight's game will be a little closer. I'm interested to see what the Ravens look like after a few weeks off. Sometimes the bye-week can work against you in terms of keeping rhythm/momentum, although many think the Ravens are simply too talented for anything like that to really effect them.

As for the Titans, it's safe to say they're America's new team after knocking off the New England Patriots in their own backyard. Will the Titans be able to keep the momentum going into M&T Bank Stadium?

I think this game comes down to Tennessee's ability to limit turnovers. It's a given they'll run the ball with Derrick Henry, but should Ryan Tannehill continue to play at a high level and not turn the ball over, the Titans have to like their chances. From a Baltimore perspective, they're favorites to ultimately bring home the Lombardi Trophy. Will they take care of business with the spotlight on them tonight?

If you're wagering pennies, the Ravens are currently favored by -9.5 points, with the game's over/under settling at 47.5 points.

If I had to make a prediction, I think Baltimore advances by a score of 30-21. We'll see if my crystal ball still works.

First Quarter

Donnie- After a first drive punt, the Titans are able to force a Lamar Jackson interception. Ball went off the hands of an open Mark Andrews. Tack on 15 yards for a horse-collar tackle from Jackson, and the Titans take over at Baltimore's 35 yard line. We'll see if they can capitalize.

Titans 7 | Ravens 0

Donnie- Update: Tennessee capitalized big time. Titans tight end Jonnu Smith climbed the ladder on a big third down play to make a one-handed catch to draw first blood in Baltimore. The ball was initially bobbled but after review, replay determined Smith's legs touched down in the end zone. 3:36 left in the first quarter, and the atmosphere has certainly changed in the stadium.

Donnie- The clock has just hit zero, and the Titans lead 7-0 with a big fourth and short coming for Baltimore on their own side of the field. The pace has certainly been slowed down for the Ravens following Jackson's interception, and the Titans look like they're not gonna be pushed around tonight.

Second Quarter

Titans 14 | Ravens 0

Donnie- The Titans stopped Jackson short of the marker, and on the very first play of the drive, Ryan Tannehill slings it deep to a wide open Kalif Raymond for a 45 yard touchdown pass. If Raymond was more open, he'd be a 7/11 store. It's still a long game, but the Titans are in the driver's seat for this one.

Donnie- It seems like people in Pittsburgh are really enjoying the game thus far. Ravens punt the ball after going three and out. Still early in the second quarter and still a lot of ball game left.

Titans 14 | Ravens 3

Donnie- The Ravens finally got some momentum on offense thanks to Jackson's arm, hitting Marquise Brown and Mark Andrews on big pass plays to move the sticks. Jackson's passing has not improved like many thought it has (to this point), and the Ravens have to settle for three. Under six minutes left.

Donnie- Baltimore converts a 3rd and long on their own nine yard line to eventually march their way down the field before settling for a Justin Tucker field goal, set up courtesy of a beautiful Hollywood catch.

Halftime! Tennessee leads Baltimore, 14-6

The Titans have walked into Baltimore and currently hold a 14-6 lead over the Ravens thanks to a healthy mix of run/pass play-calling. Henry has been tough, Tannehill has been fairly solid and most importantly, the Titans defense has been nothing short of phenomenal in terms of dominating the line of scrimmage. Lamar looks uncomfortable and his accuracy has reflected that. It will be interesting to see how Ravens offensive coordinator Greg Roman adjusts going forward. Ravens get the ball. 30 minutes left.

Titans 28 | Ravens 6

Donnie- To quote the great Ron Burgundy... That escalated quickly. Derrick Henry proves yet again that he's not from the same species as you and I, reeling off a 60+ yard run before throwing (that's right) a jump-pass TD to Corey Davis close to the goal line. After the Ravens get the ball back, Jackson is strip-sacked and the Titans cash in via a Tannehill read-option keeper.

Fourth Quarter

Donnie- Derrick Henry currently has 167 yards on 19 carries. Lamar just threw his second pick of the night. Nothing is going right for Baltimore. If you believe in momentum, Tennessee just snatched any glimmer of it that the Ravens possessed. With the Ravens currently driving, it will take a miracle for the Titans to bottle this one.

Titans 28 | Ravens 12

Donnie- A sign of life in Baltimore as Jackson finally is able to will his team into the end-zone. A failed two-point conversion attempt has the Ravens still within two possessions with 12:20 left in the game. There's still a lot of time left on the clock, but with how Tennessee has been running the ball, it's probable to think Derrick Henry will touch the ball every single play.

Final: Titans 28, Ravens 12

Donnie- The Titans went into Baltimore and stunned the Ravens, with Derrick Henry rushing for 195 yards and even throwing a touchdown. For the Titans, they showed that playing great defense and running the football is still the golden formula for deep playoff runs. For Baltimore, Lamar Jackson sees another poor throwing performance for a second consecutive playoff performance. While football is a team game, the majority of criticism will fall on Jackson's shoulders, fair or not.
