Steelers Announce New Jersey Numbers
PITTSBURGH -- The Pittsburgh Steelers have announced the new jersey numbers for all of their offseason additions, including running back/kick returner Cordarrelle Patterson, who considered a number change after 11 years in the league.
Patterson has worn No. 84 since entering the NFL 12 seasons ago. However, when he signed with the Steelers, he reached out to fans to ask for their opinions on if he should change it. His options were 10, 13, 18 and 81, and he put a poll on X to get some insight on how Steeler Nation felt.
He ultimately decided to keep his No. 84, going strong with the same number that has earned him four First-Team All-Pro selection.
The Steelers announced the numbers for everyone, with Russell Wilson and Justin Fields highlighting the group of jersey numbers. Wilson is sticking with No. 3, while Fields is moving from No. 1 to No. 2. Pittsburgh doesn't typically give out No. 1 to players.
Kyle Allen will rock No. 4, Cameron Johnston will wear No. 5, Patrick Queen No. 6, Van Jefferson No. 11, Quez Watkins No. 16, DeShon Elliott No. 25, Donte Jackson No. 26 and Dean Lowry No. 94.
