PITTSBURGH -- The Pittsburgh Steelers get their dream scenario in the latest CBS Sports mock draft, landing one of - if not the - top cornerback prospects in the 2024 NFL Draft.

Selecting at pick No. 20, the Steelers land Toledo superstar Quinyon Mitchell, who's just the second cornerback taken in the mock draft. He follows Alabama's Terrion Arnold who is selected 17th by the Jacksonville Jaguars.

"Mitchell is a ready-to-go outside cornerback with plus speed, instincts, and ball skills. Huge boost for the Steelers secondary," CBS Sports writes.

League sources have told All Steelers throughout the NFL Draft process that Mitchell is very high on the Steelers board. That being said, it wasn't expected that he'd fall to them at 20, making it a bit unrealistic to bring him in for visits or dive too deeply into him as a prospect.

If this scenario plays out in the draft, though, Pittsburgh would love the opportunity to bring in the physical corner with plenty of upside. At 6-foot, 197 pounds, Mitchell has the ability to play hard-nosed man-to-man coverage and would match Joey Porter Jr.'s physicality perfectly in Pittsburgh.

He finished his college career with six interceptions, including five in 2022. It still feels like there's a slim chance he falls to pick 20, but if he does, the Steelers likely don't have much of a decision to make on their first-round pick.
