PITTSBURGH -- The Pittsburgh Steelers gave their quarterback room a massive shakeup this offseason, shipping 2022 first round pick Kenny Pickett to the Philadelphia Eagles for a set of new draft picks.

While rumors and reports that Pickett's attitude and response to the Steelers' addition of Russell Wilson was what soured the relationship between the organization and their former first round pick, head coach Mike Tomlin said he has no hard feelings towards Pickett.

"I just think it was, from his perspective, he felt like a change of scenery would be a good thing," Tomlin said. "Obviously, when we felt the trajectory of the business with Chicago was moving in the right direction, those dominoes started falling. I won't get into specifics about our conversations but I am appreciative of his time in Pittsburgh and I wish him nothing but the absolute best in Philadelphia."

Tomlin was asked if he was disappointed in how Pickett's time in Pittsburgh ended but he simply wants to move on from the situation and focus on the new men in the locker room now, namely Wilson and former Bears first-round pick, Justin Fields, who the Steelers traded for after dealing Pickett.

"Again, I'm not getting into specifics about what transpired, who said what, who did what," Tomlin said. "Really it's water under the bridge at this point. I'm excited about the guys we have in this room and I know he's excited about his new start and his fresh start in Philadelphia."
