PITTSBURGH -- The Pittsburgh Steelers are being named the landing spot for Cincinnati Bengals star wide receiver Tee Higgins. Heading into the 2024 season under the franchsie tag, Higgins is expected to play with the Bengals. Next year, however, he's looked at to be a player on the move - but not headed very far.

Bleacher Report's Gary Davenport predicted the outcomes of all of the top wide receivers looking for contracts. With Higgins, he sees the star staying in the AFC North, joining the Steelers next offseason on a massive deal.

"Higgins plays in Cincinnati under the franchise tag in 2024 before leaving in free agency and signing a four-year, $99.7 million contract with the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2025 that includes $59 million in guarantees," Davenport writes.

Higgins, 25, was the Bengals' second-round pick in 2020 but was followed by Ja'Marr Chase the next year. Because Cincinnati will have to pay Chase, they likely won't hand Higgins a big deal, meaning he's probably on the move.

In four years in the NFL, Higgins has surpassed the 1,000-yard mark twice, with 24 career touchdowns. Last season, he totaled 656 yards and five touchdowns without Joe Burrow for most of the season.

The Steelers are searching for a wideout alongside George Pickens, and are believed to still be in the market for a trade. If they don't add an explosive option this offseason, they could look to do so next year. Maybe, Higgins will be their top choice.
