Steelers Have Chance to Close Very Successful Offseason
PITTSBURGH -- The Pittsburgh Steelers have put together a successful offseason. So far, they've bulked up the offensive line, re-signed their defensive needs, replaced their inside linebackers and built the groundwork for the NFL Draft.
As of now, this team has done all it needed to, and with little question marks about whether or not it will pay off. Now, it's about finishing it all off.
Heading into the final three weeks before the NFL Draft, the Steelers are down to eight holes they still need to fill. Not all are detrimental if they do not add this offseason, but being able to fill all of them means they have a pretty solidified roster heading into the summer.
Eight needs and seven draft picks mean they won't be getting everything they need in the rookie class. And with no picks in the fifth or sixth rounds, they can't be looking at anyone drafted after their fourth-round pick as a commodity this season.
So, they have eight holes, five picks and the final wave of free agency to make it all happen.
And it's very possible they pull it off.
