For the first time since 2019, the Houston Texans will finish a season with a winning record.

Houston's 26-3 domination of the Tennessee Titans on Sunday at NRG Stadium gave the team its ninth win of the season, assuring that the Texans will finish the year above .500. The work done by head coach DeMeco Ryans has not gone unnoticed in Houston, but there is still plenty of work to do as the regular season enters its final week.

Namely, the Texans want to clinch a playoff berth.

"Happy to change the trajectory of this Texans organization," Ryans said on Sunday. "We're headed to a good place, playing meaningful football. We're pleased with where we are, and we understand that we didn't come this far just to get this far. We have a lot to still play for that's ahead of us. But credit to the guys in the room for putting us in this position."

According to NFL.com, the Texans are still on the outside of the current AFC playoff picture, coming in one spot shy of the field at No. 8 on the list. That could change, however, if Houston is able to pick up a win over the Indianapolis Colts on Saturday night.

The Colts currently hold the final spot in the AFC playoff picture with the No. 7 seed, so Week 18's game between the two franchises will be paramount in deciding who reaches the postseason and who stays home this month.

Kickoff on Saturday between the Colts and Texans is scheduled for 7:15 p.m. CT in Indianapolis, and the game will be televised on ABC and ESPN.
